Yesterday, it was reported that there was a shooting in the popular karaoke bar, Alibi Tiki. This may come as shocking news to Portland locals, as it’s known as a pretty friendly, safe venue. Nonetheless, this highlights how crazy things can get sometimes.

As of right now, there isn’t too much information about the shooting, so we can only hope that no one is hurt or seriously injured. According to one eyewitness who was passing the venue though, a cop claimed that someone had been shot inside. However, aside from this anecdote – we must stress that there’s no more information on the incident.

Portland residents have aired their shock on social media regarding the shooting, with one person commenting “This sucks. I was going to go in a few days. Now I am rethinking it. Hope everyone is okay” whilst another added “So many places around town I would’ve never imagined this kind of thing happening at that I now can’t say that about, it’s pretty wild. Hoping everyone is fine and those who witnessed the event are able to process it okay – as someone who has witnessed similar, it does weird things to your psyche.”
