These days, the average car costs thousands – and that’s just the used market. So, when you see a vintage Pontiac Firebird for a mere $500, you’ve got every right to get excited. Basically, this is the cheapest car on the market right now in Sacramento. However, that’s not particularly a good thing either.

As seen in the advert, this is a non-runner and has a host of problems. In fairness, you can’t accuse the owner of being dishonest. In short, this was a project of love whereby the owner spent thousands on trying to repair it – and claimed “I rebuilt the heads and completely redid all the gaskets and seals for the top end: New head gasket, new head bolts, intake manifold gasket, fuel injector filters and gaskets, valve cover gaskets, valve springs, and umbrella seals”

Apparently, they even got it running at one point, before leaving it for years as life got in the way. Here, they wrote, “The car sat for 2 years and I haven’t tried to start it since the engine bay got rats and is in pretty bad shape.”

So, now the car is being sold for $500 and is probably in need of a skilled hand to get this one off the ground. In fact, you’ll also need a truck to tow this away – which probably says more about its condition than our description ever could.

At the same time, there’s still something incredibly stylish about a 1994 Pontiac Firebird and cosmetically, it’s still in good condition on the outside. So, if you’ve got a lot of time and expertise on your hand, then this could be for you. However, it will end up costing you more than $500 in the end and certainly isn’t for everyone.
